I’m inspired by finding balance and harmony in both colour and pattern, as well as the manual and meditative act and effects of hand weaving.
Our brains are wired to look for and find patterns, in nature, environment, behavior, mathematics and language.
Making patterns and repeating them calms me and it’s where I find equilibrium and connection within my process and work.

One of a Kind
Manually winding warps around wooden pegs, threading up the looms, hand washing and finishing, are all parts of the hand-weaving process. This makes Holly’s hand woven pieces hold a distinct mark of the maker.
Each new warp is an opportunity to discover new harmonies in both colour and structure.
One of a Limited Run
Alongside her hand weaving practice Holly enjoys working with a 200 year old weaving mill in the UK to make limited runs of some of her woven designs. The LOVE blanket was the first piece produced in this way in 2010.
